Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator in Omaha. This hands-on leadership role coordinates all dock activities to ensure safe, efficient trailer movement, working closely with operations, transportation, safety and customer teams to meet daily priorities.

The position emphasizes safety, accountability, and exceptional customer service, with a focus on operating standards, 7S, and real-time communication using Office and Google tools. 1st shift, M–F.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, dock, yard, or transportation environments.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment.
• Serve as primary point of contact for loading and unloading dock activities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow in line with priorities.
• Monitor dock conditions and stop-work when unsafe conditions are identified.
• Partner with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customers daily.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
