Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator to ensure safe, efficient trailer movement and dock operations. You’ll partner with operations, transportation, safety and customer teams to execute daily activities while upholding accountability and service excellence.

The role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, understand dock equipment, and maintain strong communication with stakeholders. A flexible schedule is required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Working knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Strong communication skills for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support daily priorities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow following safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and use stop-work authority when unsafe.
• Partner with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer-facing teams.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
