Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator for a 3rd shift role in Omaha, NE.

You will lead dock activities, coordinate trailer movements, and partner with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to ensure safe, efficient yard operations. The role requires experience in warehouse environments, knowledge of dock procedures, and strong communication to support daily priorities and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.
• Strong communication skills for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment as required.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support daily priorities.
• Manage docking, release, and yard flow following safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate when unsafe.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, and customer teams.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines and SWIs.
• Support dock and yard organization per 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks or delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and leads.
