Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. seeks a Yard and Dock Coordinator to lead dock activities, coordinate trailer movements, and ensure safe and efficient yard flow.

This hands-on leadership role partners with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to prioritize daily priorities and uphold safety and service standards. The role requires warehouse or dock experience, strong communication, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation-related environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills with daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 / Google Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support of dock-related equipment.
• Serve as primary contact for loading and unloading dock activities.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support daily priorities.
• Manage and sequence dock/yards to ensure smooth flow and safety.
• Communicate with internal/external stakeholders and maintain customer service focus.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and site procedures.
