Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in USA (Port Reading) seeks an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift to supervise inbound/outbound activities, schedule labor, plan space utilization, and communicate with customers. The role includes hiring, training and evaluating staff to meet service and cost objectives.

The supervisor will lead a team, ensure safety and quality, and support HR activities while coordinating with the Operations Manager to optimize daily operations and performance.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years experience in logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Able to operate MHE.

Responsibilities

• Supervise receiving, warehousing and shipping of product.
• Plan daily work schedule and assign duties to warehouse staff.
• Manage client communications and KPI performance.
• Conduct staff meetings and training activities.
• Develop and monitor SOP adherence and safety procedures.
