Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in the United States is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 1st shift at the Port Reading facility. You will supervise inbound, outbound, space utilization, and staffing, with a focus on safety, quality, and cost objectives while coordinating with the Operations Manager.

You will hire, train, evaluate staff; manage KPIs and client requirements; plan daily work; ensure training on SOPs and use of WMS/MHE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years experience in logistics/distribution environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Able to operate MHE (forklift).

Responsibilities

• Supervise labor, planning and daily operations.
• Manage inbound/outbound and space utilization.
• Hire, train and evaluate staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Meet client KPIs and adhere to SOPs.
• Develop cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives.
