Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Wisconsin seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee inbound/outbound activities, labor scheduling, space utilization, and customer communications. The role includes hiring, training, and performance management of warehouse staff to meet cost and service objectives.

The Supervisor will ensure safety, quality, and adherence to SOPs while guiding a team through daily operational challenges and client KPI targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3 years’ experience in logistics/distribution environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Forklift training certification is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, RF scanners and WMS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities and plan improvements.
• Inform senior management and client representatives of critical issues.
• Develop systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment and products safely and profitably.
• Meet client KPIs and comply with Quality system requirements.
• Plan daily work schedule and assign duties to warehouse staff.
• Lead hiring, training, and performance evaluations of team members.
• Maintain training and evaluation responsibilities for warehouse staff.
