Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in the USA seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead inbound/outbound activities, slotting, and client communications. You will supervise labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower, and report to the Operations Manager to meet service and cost objectives.

As part of the team, you will hire/train staff, conduct performance appraisals, develop SOP-compliant processes, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Must have a Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Preferred: Prior MHE certification /knowledge of basic MHE operation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication daily.
• Plans labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower.
• Hires and trains staff; plans and assigns daily work; conducts performance appraisals.
• Ensures safe and profitable operations per SOPs and client terms.
• Meets client KPIs and adheres to Quality system requirements.
• Manages employee performance reviews and supports promotions/raises.
• Schedules daily work by reviewing orders and instructions; assigns duties.
• Trains and develops team members; supports cross-training and progression.
