Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Manual Machinist in Pasadena, TX to operate a large VTL and other manual machines on rotating equipment components. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining quality and productivity.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with engineers to resolve issues. Requires 5–10 years of experience and ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Manual Machinist experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate VTLs and other manual machining equipment to produce or repair parts.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
• Set up machines with proper tooling, fixtures, and materials.
• Measure finished parts with micrometers, calipers and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to resolve production issues.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work 40 hours per week, including possible evenings/weekends.
