Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services Inc. in Pasadena, TX is seeking a 2nd Shift Manual Machinist to set up and operate a large VTL and other conventional machines to fabricate and repair components.

The role requires blueprint reading, precision measurement, and strict tolerances, with 5–10 years’ experience; full-time with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience as a Manual Machinist required
• Operate large VTL up to 120” swing and related equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
• Maintain tight tolerances and high quality workmanship

Responsibilities

• Set up machines by selecting tooling, fixtures, and materials
• Operate VTL up to 120” swing and other manual machines
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Measure finished parts with precision instruments to verify tolerances
• Inspect parts for defects and conformance to specs
• Collaborate with supervisors and shop personnel to resolve issues
• Assist with disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components
• Maintain organized and clean work area and follow safety procedures
