Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running smoothly through preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs. You will ensure compliance with industry standards while upholding our commitment to top-tier service, working in a collaborative OD Family environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, problem solving, and ongoing training opportunities in a fast-paced, safety-conscious setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance technician roles or equivalent education.
• Experience with truck repair, body and frame repair.
• Must provide own tools for job duties.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair parts of company equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other failures in trucks and related equipment.
• Read precision instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of components and systems on trucks and trailers.
• Weld as needed for truck repairs; ability to weld horizontally and vertically.
