Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in peak condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs across our trucks and trailers.

The role requires reading precision instruments, welding when needed, adherence to DOT/EPA/OSHA standards, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment. A high school diploma and workshop tools are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Must provide own tools to perform duties and read/write records.
• Valid CDL when required and knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Willingness to participate in training and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment, perform preventative maintenance and general repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other breakdowns on trucks and trailers.
• Read precision instruments and use electronic diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on components and systems.
• Weld horizontally/vertically as needed in repairs; meet safety standards.
