Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs of trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, reading precision instruments, and applying welding skills as needed. Candidates should be able to work varied shifts and comply with DOT and OSHA rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Experience with truck repair, body and frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (when required).
• Reading precision instruments and diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other breakdowns in trucks or related equipment.
• Read precision instruments and use diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on component parts and systems.
• Weld as needed for truck repairs; may require horizontal/vertical welds.
• Comply with DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA regulations.
