Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet safe and reliable. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs with attention to DOT and safety standards.

Responsibilities include reading precision instruments, troubleshooting, welding when required, and maintaining accurate records. Join a collaborative team that values safety and hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of equipment as required by the department.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other breakdowns in motor trucks or related equipment.
• Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of components and systems on trucks, trailers or converter dollies.
• Welding as needed and knowledge of metals to complete truck repairs.
• Adhere to DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Maintain superior customer relations and be willing to work on any piece of rolling stock as directed.
