Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift (6:15pm–7am) at our Blythewood, SC facility. You will supervise all plant production activities, ensure safety policies, and drive adherence to customer requirements while controlling costs.

You will train hourly employees, manage schedules to minimize idle time, monitor quality, and report shift performance. You’ll lead continuous improvement with 5S and safety initiatives, and coordinate maintenance with the Plant team.

Qualifications

• Supervise all plant production activities on a 2nd shift.
• Ensure employees follow safety policies and procedures.
• Coach and supervise hourly employees; administer hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

• Directs the manufacturing and material handling activities on a given shift.
• Trains and supervises hourly employees; enforces plant rules and procedures.
• Manages the work schedule within the department to minimize idle time and optimize use of personnel, machines, and materials.
• Maintains quality standards to meet customer and internal specifications; drives continuous improvement.
• Coordinates continuous improvement initiatives and 5S methodology on the production floor.
• Ensures safety and compliance with lockout/tagout and related programs; participates in Plant Safety Committee.
• Cleans and maintains the Kronos timekeeping records; reports shift results (production, runtime, downtime, etc.).
• Assists in labor and manufacturing cost reviews and suggests cost-reduction opportunities.
