Job summary

Amcor seeks a capable Production Supervisor for 2nd shift (6:15pm-7am) to supervise plant production and ensure customer-aligned output at optimal costs while following safety rules.

The role trains hourly staff, coordinates shift schedules, and drives continuous improvement initiatives including 5S. You will report shift results, manage downtime, and collaborate with maintenance and safety committees to uphold Amcor’s standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of college required; bachelor’s degree in business management preferred.
• Green Belt certification preferred.
• Minimum three years in a supervisory role, preferably in plastics manufacturing.
• Must communicate effectively with shift, management, customers and vendors.
• Act as a change agent driving continuous improvement and staff engagement.

Responsibilities

• Direct manufacturing and material handling on the shift.
• Enforce safety policies and train hourly staff.
• Manage shift schedule to optimize personnel, machinery and materials.
• Maintain quality to meet internal and customer specs; pursue quality improvements.
• Lead 5S and continuous improvement initiatives; coordinate maintenance tasks.
• Prepare and review shift metrics: production, runtime, downtime, and material status.
• Communicate material changes and ensure proper implementation with staff.
