Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for the second shift in its Grand Rapids, MI paint operations unit.

You will lead one Team Leader and about 25 manufacturing employees across loading, unloading, line support, inventory, material handling, and quality auditing to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. The role emphasizes hands-on floor leadership in a unionized automotive environment, with responsibilities for scheduling, coaching, problem-solving, and

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong floor leadership with clear expectations and accountability.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred; plastic painting processes desirable.
• Knowledge of coatings, surface preparation, curing, or paint quality requirements.
• Experience in unionized facilities and familiarity with collective agreements.
• Experience with automated lines, robotics, PLCs, conveyors, sensors.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations.
• Lead one Team Leader and ~25 employees across multiple functions.
• Assign labor and resources to meet daily production targets.
• Monitor paint-line performance and take corrective action.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance to resolve defects.
• Troubleshoot automated paint line equipment and escalate issues.
• Ensure materials are staged and tracked to support operations.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and handovers.
• Train and develop employees and enforce workplace policies.
• Drive Lean, 5S, root-cause problem solving for safety, quality, flow and productivity.
