Job summary

Accounting Search is hiring a 2nd Shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a Jefferson, WI-area food manufacturer. The role focuses on maintaining high-speed sanitary packaging equipment, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and performing PMs across filling lines.

The position offers a starting pay of $33.90/hr with overtime and Sunday premiums, full benefits, and a direct-hire, W-2 arrangement. 45-minute radius residency required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on mechanical maintenance in a sanitary food manufacturing or GMP environment.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyors, and high-speed equipment.
• Welding (MIG/TIG) and basic fabrication skills for machine repairs.
• U.S. work authorization and residence within 45 minutes of Jefferson, WI.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on high-speed processing and packaging equipment.
• Inspect and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, pumps, valves, and fluid power components.
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems, gearboxes, bearings, and drive assemblies.
• Execute TIG/MIG welding and basic fabrication to repair guards and frames.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and sanitary standards in all maintenance work.
• Collaborate with operators and sanitation teams to minimize downtime.
