Job summary

2nd Shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician – High-Speed Packaging & GMP role in Jefferson, WI. Start rate $33.90/hr with overtime and double-time premiums; W-2, full benefits, and a stable manufacturing culture.

Maintain high-speed packaging lines, repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and perform PMs in a sanitary environment. Requires 3+ years in GMP, food-grade maintenance, and a 45-minute radius of Jefferson.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance in a high-speed manufacturing environment (sanitary food manufacturing / GMP background preferred).
• 3+ years maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• 3+ years maintaining industrial conveyor systems, drive assemblies, gearboxes, and high-speed mechanical drives.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MIG/TIG welding and basic mechanical fabrication for machine repair.
• Solid work history with U.S. Citizenship or Green Card and 45-minute commuting radius of Jefferson, WI.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical troubleshooting, routine repairs, and preventive maintenance on high-speed sanitary processing and packaging machinery.
• Inspect, diagnose, and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, cylinders, pumps, valves, and fluid power systems.
• Maintain, align, and repair high-throughput conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and power transmission components.
• Execute floor-level TIG/MIG welding and minor fabrication for machine repair.
• Ensure all maintenance work adheres to GMP and sanitary standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with 2nd shift production/operators and sanitation teams to minimize downtime.
