Job summary

MDS Staffing is hiring a 2nd Shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a Jefferson, WI-area food manufacturer. You will support high-speed packaging lines, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a sanitary GMP setting.

This direct-hire role offers $33.90/hr starting pay, overtime at time-and-a-half, Sunday double-time, and a full benefits package. Requires 3+ years of relevant experience and residency within 45 minutes of Jefferson, WI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance in a high-speed sanitary environment (GMP preferred).
• 3+ years maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• 3+ years maintaining industrial conveyors and gear-driven systems.
• Welding proficiency (MIG/TIG) and basic fabrication for machine repair.
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card status and 45-minute commute radius from Jefferson, WI.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on high-speed sanitary equipment.
• Inspect and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic components and circuits.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and power transmission components.
• Perform TIG/MIG welding and minor fabrication for machine guards and frames.
• Ensure GMP and sanitary compliance in all maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with production and sanitation to minimize downtime.
