Job summary

United Future in Jefferson, WI is seeking a 2nd Shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician to service high-speed packaging and GMP environments. This direct-hire, full-time W-2 role offers strong pay and benefits.

Starting at $33.90 per hour with overtime time-and-a-half for hours over 8 in a day and double-time on Sundays, plus full corporate benefits. You will perform PMs, troubleshoot hydraulic/pneumatic systems, conveyors, and weld/fabricate as needed on packaging lines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance in a high-speed, sanitary food manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• 3+ years maintaining conveyors, drive assemblies, gearboxes, and high-speed mechanical drives.
• Welding capability with MIG/TIG and basic fabrication.
• US Citizenship or Green Card and 45-minute radius residency of Jefferson, WI.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical troubleshooting on high-speed sanitary processing and packaging machinery.
• Inspect, diagnose, rebuild hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Maintain, align, and repair conveyors, gearboxes, and power transmission components.
• Weld and fabricate as needed to repair guards, brackets, and frame weldments.
• Ensure GMP and sanitary compliance in all maintenance work.
• Collaborate with production operators and sanitation teams to minimize downtime.
