Job summary

Howmet Aerospace's Whitehall Casting Operation seeks a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Leader to plan, develop, and implement new methods that improve operations and reduce costs. You will focus on greater utilization of labor and materials while engaging the team in safety and housekeeping initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years of people leadership experience; at least 2 in manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship not available.
• Preferred: BS Degree in Engineering or Business.

Responsibilities

• Supervises an effective team; plans meetings, manages staffing, time off, and work assignments.
• Provides feedback and maintains documentation for disciplinary actions.
• Directs training and orientation to ensure EHS rules are followed and understood.
• Maintains CBAs compliance; interfaces with union officials and handles grievances.
• Reviews production and operating reports; resolves issues to minimize costs and delays.
• Investigates deviations; recommends actions to correct issues affecting schedules and costs.
• Requests tools and supplies; ensures proper tool usage and availability.
• Coordinates with management, engineering, and quality control to resolve maintenance problems.
• Reviews safety procedures and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Plans, develops, and implements new methods to improve operations and utilization of labor/materials.
• Participates in plant safety inspections and housekeeping audits.
• Complies with all EHS rules; performs other duties as assigned.
