Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is hiring a 3rd Shift Manufacturing Leader for Plant 3, Whitehall Casting Operation, at One Misco Drive, Whitehall, MI.

You will plan, develop, and implement methods to improve operations, reduce costs, and increase labor and material utilization on-site. The role involves supervising teams, driving safety and EHS initiatives, and maintaining union relations while ensuring adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 5 years of people leadership experience; 2 of which are within a manufacturing environment.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures to improve operations and minimize costs.
• Lead plant safety inspections and housekeeping audits.
• Direct training and orientation of employees to ensure EHS rules are known and understood and to improve performance.
• Maintain compliance with the collective bargaining agreement and interface with union officials.
• Review production and operating reports to resolve issues and prevent delays.
• Investigate deviations and recommend corrective actions to schedules, costs, and quality.
• Coordinate with management, engineering, and quality control to resolve maintenance problems.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and continuous improvement across shifts.
