Job summary

The Recruiting Hive seeks a Quality Control Technician for our Cedarburg, Wisconsin site on the 2nd shift. You will perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on high-pressure die-cast components, verify GD&T conformance, and drive root-cause investigations to prevent defects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality technician experience in HPDC or metal manufacturing.
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T with precision measuring tools.
• Must reside within 45 minutes of Cedarburg, WI and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of die cast components.
• Verify conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM.
• Detect defects (porosity, cold shuts, flash, etc.) and issue NCMRs.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T requirements, control plans, and work instructions.
• Support root-cause investigations using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto tools.
• Assist with LPAs, product audits, PPAP and gauge validations in ISO 9001/IATF 16949.
