Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC seeks a meticulous Quality Control Technician for its high‑pressure die casting floor in Cedarburg, WI. The 2nd shift runs Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, with a direct-hire path and strong stability.

You will perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections, verify GD&T conformance with CMM and hand tools, and drive root-cause investigations to prevent defects. ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to verify customer and engineering specifications.
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements with precision measuring tools.
• Support root-cause investigations and containment of defects.
• Move with a 45-minute commute to Cedarburg, WI and remain US authorized to work.

Responsibilities

• Perform Comprehensive Inspections: first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of die cast components to verify exact customer and engineering specifications.
• Utilize Precision Metrology Tools: verify product conformance with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Detect & Contain Defects: conduct visual inspections for porosity, cold shuts, flash and dimensional nonconformance; issue NCRs and containment actions.
• Interpret Blueprints & GD&T: review production against drawings, GD&T requirements, control plans, and work instructions.
• Drive Root-Cause Investigations: support RCA using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto analyses.
• Support Audits & Quality Systems: complete LPAs, product audits, PPAP, FAI, capability studies, and gauge validations per ISO 9001 & IATF 16949.
