Job summary

Ryder is seeking an Operations Supervisor to assist the Operations Manager in coordinating shift operations for Northridge, CA. The role involves managing technicians and Service Employees, ensuring safety, quality, and asset targets while supporting business objectives.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 1:30pm to 11:00pm with a salary plus bonus incentive. Internal equity and market data influence salary ranges, with comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED is required.
• Associate's degree preferred or 1–3 years experience in a maintenance operations environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or 1–3 years experience in a maintenance operations environment.
• Maintenance and technical experience in a shop environment required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: planning and scheduling, assigning work to technicians, productivity tracking and shift meetings.
• Labor management: training and development of personnel; performance management.
• Customer management: maintain customer relationships, ensure vehicle uptime and communication protocols.
• Asset management: maintain appearance and condition of the location, ensure tooling/equipment needs.
• Quality management: perform inspections, root cause analysis, corrective actions and ensure repair quality.
• Financial management: manage budget targets, payroll approvals, and invoicing reconciliation.
