Job summary

Collins Aerospace, Windsor Locks, CT, is seeking a 2nd Shift Senior Operations Supervisor to lead a ~30-person union team in aftermarket repair operations. You will drive safety, quality, delivery and productivity while developing a capable, engaged team.

Responsibilities include staffing, prioritization, cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance, and Lean process improvement in FAA-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours: Monday - Friday 3:30PM - 12AM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of union employees with accountability for safety, quality and productivity.
• Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of second shift operations to ensure safe, efficient completion of work.
• Plan and coordinate daily staffing, workflow and resources to meet TAT, on-time delivery and customer service.
• Monitor shift performance, identify constraints, and address issues affecting safety, quality and delivery.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, and Customer Service to resolve issues and ensure repair completion.
• Drive Lean improvements and cost-reduction through process optimization and best practices.
• Ensure employees are trained and qualified per FAA work instructions and regulations.
• Maintain staffing and resources to protect, segregate, and preserve parts during repair.
• Communicate across shifts and with leadership for smooth handoffs and prioritization.
• Use SAP or equivalent systems to monitor performance and support data-driven decisions.
