Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a manufacturing technician for the 2nd shift at Windsor Locks, CT. You will set-up and operate equipment, assemble parts for brazing and test air bearings, while ensuring adherence to EH&S procedures.

Responsibilities include measuring with precision tools, coordinating deliveries, maintaining inventory, and supporting continuous process improvements. Onsite role with training across shifts may occur.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate a variety of equipment to fabricate and test air bearings.
• Clean, prepare, fabricate, and assemble various parts for brazing.
• Mix and apply braze alloy and coatings as required.
• Set-up, program and operate furnaces for heat treat and brazing.
• Perform proof pressure and leakage tests.
• Monitor the flow of work and communicate with suppliers on delivery and quality concerns.
• Use measuring instruments such as micrometers and temperature monitors to ensure specifications.
