Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer II to join the 24/7 Operations team in a hybrid capacity. You will monitor production telemetry, triage incidents, and enforce FedRAMP controls across on-prem RHEL, AWS GovCloud, and Kubernetes (EKS).

The role requires hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana/Elasticsearch, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows. You will support security hardening, RBAC, and IaC-driven deployments, with a structured shift model

Qualifications

US citizenship required.
3–5 years of hands-on SRE/DevOps experience.
Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift.
Experience administering bare-metal Linux (RHEL) and on-premises hardware.
Direct experience with Kibana/Elasticsearch for log troubleshooting.
Operational experience with AWS core services including GovCloud and Kubernetes (EKS).
Familiarity with FedRAMP/NIST SP 800-53 security controls and DISA STIG hardening.
Scripting/automation with Python or Bash is preferred; Terraform is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide 24/7 eyes-on monitoring and incident triage across on-prem RHEL, AWS, and EKS.
Perform log analysis in Elasticsearch/Kibana to identify root causes and incidents.
Coordinate incident response in Slack and ChatOps channels; ensure post-incident reviews (RCAs).
Manage bare-metal Linux server operations, hardware diagnostics, RAID/LVM, and network issues.
Apply FedRAMP security controls, patching, and RBAC across environments.
Operate Kubernetes (EKS), load balancing, and cloud networking; implement changes via IaC (Terraform).
