Job summary

F5 is seeking a proactive Site Reliability Engineer II to join its 24/7 Operations team in a hybrid capacity. You will monitor, triage, and respond to incidents across on-prem RHEL, AWS GovCloud, and Kubernetes environments, enforcing FedRAMP controls and performing automated deployments with GitLab, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows.

The role requires 3–5 years in SRE/DevOps, US citizenship, and willingness to work a 24/7 shift, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Citizenship & regulatory requirement: US Citizenship.
• 3–5 years of hands-on SRE/DevOps or hybrid infrastructure roles.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Bare-M metal Linux (RHEL) administration experience including hardware diagnostics and NIC bonding.
• Experience querying logs with Kibana/Elasticsearch and performing incident triage.
• Experience with L4/L7 load balancing (NLB/ALB) and Ingress Controllers, TLS termination.
• Solid AWS core services experience; familiarity with AWS GovCloud.
• Kubernetes (EKS) operations, including kubectl/Helm.
• Observability tools experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager.
• CI/CD and GitOps with GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows.
• ChatOps via Slack for incident war rooms.
• FedRAMP/NIST SP 800-53 security hardening and vulnerability patching.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 eyes-on monitoring and incident triage for hybrid on-prem and cloud environments.
• Maintain RHEL bare-metal servers and hardware lifecycle operations.
• Enforce FedRAMP security controls and perform vulnerability remediation.
• Manage Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS infrastructure including networking and security.
• Execute CI/CD and GitOps deployments using GitLab, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows.
• Document runbooks, post-incident reports, and standard operating procedures.
