Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified engineer to deploy and operate AWS and Kubernetes-based services for government workloads. You will automate provisioning, harden security, and participate in FedRAMP monitoring while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role demands strong scripting, IaC, and on-call readiness in a hybrid environment; the position supports multiple US locations and a government-focused cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with relevant experience in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Software development or automation experience with Java, Go, Python, or similar language, including testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, production services, DevOps, or SRE in AWS.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, cloud-native deployment, Git, CI/CD, and IaC automation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and maintain AWS and Kubernetes-based infrastructure and microservices.
• Monitor service health, troubleshoot incidents, and restore services in a 24x7 environment.
• Automate operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Support IAM, logging, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and FedRAMP monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance to improve reliability and document runbooks.
