Job summary

F5 is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability, security, and compliance of our FedRAMP-authorized cloud platform. You will lead architecture for AWS GovCloud and on‑prem edge servers, with hands-on operations, governance, and audit readiness across multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.

You will design, operate, and optimize Kubernetes clusters, EKS controls, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD, while enforcing NIST SP 800-53 controls and secure

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience in SRE/DevOps/Systems Architecture.
• Proven track record handling L3 production escalations.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana for troubleshooting.
• FedRAMP audits experience or strong compliance background.
• Architectural design for hybrid cloud networks and multi-tenant clusters.
• Strong Linux administration and security foundational skills.
• Expertise with Kubernetes on AWS EKS and edge environments.
• Proficient in Terraform and GitOps pipelines.
• Production-grade automation with Go and/or Python.
• Clear, structured technical documentation and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• L3 on-call escalation and production support for critical incidents.
• Lead incident response across cross-functional teams to contain and resolve issues quickly.
• Triage complex infrastructure issues beyond standard SOPs.
• Document escalation paths and convert resolutions into runbooks for L1/L2 teams.
• Drive FedRAMP compliance activities and prepare audit evidence.
• Maintain secure, auditable log pipelines (Elasticsearch, SIEM) and retention policies.
• Design secure, resilient hybrid architectures spanning AWS GovCloud and on‑prem edge.
• Manage Terraform deployments and GitLab/ArgoCD GitOps pipelines.
• Develop tooling to automate compliance reporting and system configuration.
