Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division seeks a Facilities Manager for Evangeline Booth Emergency Lodge, overseeing maintenance, housekeeping, and food service support to ensure a safe, compliant environment in a residential shelter setting.

You will lead a team, manage budgets, and coordinate with the Program Director on policy and facility projects, while ensuring adherence to directives and safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in operational/building management.
• Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff for 24-hour facility operation.
• Plan and direct preventive maintenance for mechanical and electrical systems and fire safety.
• Investigate and repair facility issues, coordinating outside consultants when needed.
• Ensure safety compliance, codes, and hazard reporting.
• Assist Director with building projects and policy development.
