Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Social Services Manager for the Evangeline Booth Lodge in Illinois. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Program Director and oversees the social services team, intake, case management, and direct client services within a residential program.

You will supervise staff, coordinate training, monitor program metrics, and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining compassionate, professional service to residents and the community.

Qualifications

• Education: MSW required.
• Experience: At least 5 years in staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise intake and ensure program operates at full capacity.
• Oversee case management with weekly reviews and file reviews.
• Supervise direct care services including housing referrals and counseling.
• Maintain program statistics and timely reports.
• Coordinate staff training and volunteers; participate in hiring decisions.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the social services dept.
• Manage emergencies and notify Director with details of critical events.
