Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Social Services Manager at Evangeline Booth Lodge in Chicago. This leadership role oversees intake, case management, and direct care services, ensuring compliance and functional operations of the social services program.

You will supervise staff, coordinate trainings, and collaborate with the Program Director to maintain policies, quality service, and reporting. This role emphasizes homelessness-focused, client-centered support within a faith-based organization.

Qualifications

• Education: MSW required.
• Experience: An interest in homelessness and with a minimum of 5 years in staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the intake process and ensure program capacity.
• Supervise case management with weekly reviews and file checks.
• Supervise direct care services including referrals to housing, counseling, medical care, and school enrollment.
• Maintain program statistics and submit timely reports.
• Assist in staff training planning and volunteer coordination.
• Participate in hiring decisions and evaluate staff performance.
• Develop and maintain policies for social services in collaboration with the Director.
