Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a remote monitoring and control professional for our HROC center in Irving, TX, supporting cement and grinding plants across the US and Canada. You will operate within an automated, data-driven environment and coordinate with plant teams to maintain safe, reliable production.

The role involves a 6–8 month training period, formal SOP adherence, and wide travel between the US and Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree preferred.
• Technical certifications or vocational training may substitute for a degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills emphasized.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with teams.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to travel within the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 remote monitoring, operation, and control of cement and grinding plants.
• Make critical operational decisions in a highly automated environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process, equipment, and control system issues.
• Collaborate across the HROC network to optimize system performance.
• Champion SOPs and operational consistency.
• Drive continuous optimization and automation strategies.
• Leverage data to improve performance and standardization.
• Ensure safe, stable, and compliant operations.
