Job summary

Heidelberg Materials seeks a seasoned control room operator to manage cement plant operations from the Remote Optimization Center in Dallas. You will monitor process parameters, alarms, and equipment status to ensure safe, compliant production and high product quality.

The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, with travel across the US and Canada as needed. A relevant B.S./Engineering degree is required, plus strong analytical and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to safely operate a cement plant in a 24/7 environment with extensive control room experience.
• Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing; related certifications may substitute for a degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends; travel within US/Canada as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the cement manufacturing process from the Remote Optimization Center in Dallas, TX.
• Review equipment status, process parameters, and alarms to keep operations within SOPs.
• Ensure safe, continuous plant operations, maintain product quality, and comply with environmental regs.
• Identify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues, minimizing downtime and losses.
• Maintain accurate records of parameters, readings, and activities to analyze trends and improve efficiency.
