Job summary

Constellis is seeking an on-site Dispatcher to monitor FPS and radio traffic, receive emergency and non-emergency calls, and coordinate responses across federal buildings nationwide. You will handle alarm systems, log events, and support public safety communications 24/7.

The role requires US citizenship, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work under stress with excellent phone skills. This is a labor-intensive, 24/7 position with variable shifts.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Background check required.
• Ability to work under stress and to respond to emergency communications.
• Excellent phone skills.
• Able to handle filing and other administrative duties.
• Knowledge of a 24-hour emergency communication center and public safety environment.
• Proficient with PC-based word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor FPS and radio traffic and coordinate appropriate responses.
• Communicate audio messages via radio and telephone.
• Coordinate law enforcement and public safety activities.
• Log all calls and maintain client records.
• Log alarms, ensure officer safety, and facilitate clear communications.
• Operate multi-channel radio and telephone dispatch equipment.
• Access databases and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Assist training of dispatcher trainees.
• Routinely test alarms and communication devices.
• Perform dispatch duties for other locations during outages.
