Job summary

Stanley David and Associates is seeking a NOC/Network Operations Center Engineer in Columbus, Ohio. The role requires hands-on NOC experience and strong knowledge of routing, switching, Wireless LAN and Firewall, along with coordination with service providers to fix communication links.

Responsibilities include 24x7 monitoring of telecom infrastructure, incident restoration, change control, and On‑Call processes, plus ServiceNow reporting for TCOM teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in supporting Network Operations Center (NOC) environments.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, Wireless LAN and Firewall concepts.
• Understanding of communication links and coordination with service providers to resolve link issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7x365 monitoring of telecom infrastructure including transport, fiber, 800 Mhz radio, FAA Tower Lighting, voice/video systems, wireless and LAN/WAN assets.
• Coordinate communication and restoration of telecommunication service via on-call processes or SWAT/dispatches across TCOM teams.
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for telecommunications resolutions including ticketing and escalation with leased line carriers.
• Review changes and submit formal change requests with business systems for outages to SCADA connectivity.
• Provide ServiceNow reporting and Change Control support for TCOM Field and Construction Teams.
• Manage Check-In/Check-Out for all TCOM and contract associates at remote locations to ensure safety.
• Monitor and resolve system alerts for Transport, LAN/WAN, Site Environments, Tower Lighting, Fiber and Voice Systems.
• Serve as a single point of contact for support and coordinate 3rd party AEP dark fiber customer issue resolution.
• Review TCOM changes and communicate to business units/dark fiber customers and escalate as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve TCOM network issues supporting SCADA networks using approved NERC CIP access protocols at sensitive sites.
• Onsite telecom teams operate out of AEP NOC locations in Ohio.
