Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Transportation Supervisor for our WMATA location in Capital Heights, MD. The role oversees 24/7 Dispatch operations, ensuring safe, reliable service and real-time monitoring of operators and dispatch staff.

The position emphasizes coaching, compliance, and collaboration with operators, subcontractors, and support departments to maximize efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and follow directions.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Dispatchers monitor Operators in service via radio and software.
• Provide coaching for non-compliance issues and attendance.
• Oversee improvements in dispatch and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
• Investigate complaints and provide feedback to management.
• Coordinate between operators and customers to ensure timely responses.
• Fill in as a Dispatcher when required.
• Communicate with Management to maximize efficiencies.
