Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping equipment across a 24x7 data center. You will monitor systems, run tests, and assist customers on the data center floor, handling tickets and coordinating with systems engineers.

On-site work is required; this role involves performing preventive maintenance, documenting activities, and following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on critical building systems and equipment.
• Operates and monitors IT, electrical, and mechanical equipment and controls.
• Creates/updates work orders and tickets in the ticketing system.
• Provides remote hands and eyes services for customers as needed.
• Assists customers on the data center floor with installs and wiring tasks.
• Escalates alerts and requests to systems engineers for resolution.
