Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform server rack installations, diagnose hardware and network issues, and participate in an on-call rotation to keep AWS data centers running smoothly.

You'll work with a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, travel between data center sites as needed, and lift up to 40 pounds while supporting 24/7 operations on extended shifts. A technology background and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on components
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents
• Serve as primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders
• Perform on-call duties and participate in maintenance and change management
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements; train new team members
