Job summary

Olivia Park Elementary in Everett, WA is seeking a 1:1 Paraeducator for 3 hours per day, 180 days per year. This role supports a student under a teacher's supervision and requires basic WA State Paraeducator qualifications.

The position runs 11:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and does not include medical or dental benefits. Immediate start and work under the principal and classroom staff to promote a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of math, spelling, reading, grammar, and punctuation.
• Desire and aptitude to work with students.
• Ability to interact professionally with students, supervisors, and staff.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage student behavior.
• Awareness of safe lifting and basic classroom equipment use.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of students to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Assist with administration of tests, data collection, and record updates as directed by teachers.
• Monitor and support student behavior and progress; communicate observations to staff.
• Support implementation of instructional strategies and individual growth plans.
• Provide clerical and classroom assistance as needed; data entry and material prep.
• Administer basic first aid and assist with health-related student needs as required.
• Assist with crossing guard duties and supervision during transitions.
