Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Meet WA State Para-professional Qualifications (72 Quarter Credits, an associate’s degree, or ETS test).
• Minimum computer/technology skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle stress/anger/conflict situations.
• Enjoys working with students.
• Sound decision-making skills.
• Must be punctual and responsible.

Responsibilities

• Follow district, local, state, and federal statutes relevant to a public school environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students and staff.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for students and staff.
• Set up for daily and periodic activities.
• Prepare and assist with instructional materials and student accommodations.
• Provide assistance with all academic activities for the student as assigned.
• Assist with self-help activities and personal hygiene.
• Monitor discipline and implement CPI guidelines as required.
• Participate in professional development and perform other duties as assigned.
