Job summary

Monroe School District Maltby Elementary in Snohomish, WA seeks a Paraeducator for 1:1 specialized instructional support. This 6.5-hour/day position runs 180 days per year, 8:40 AM to 3:40 PM, with 1:1 student support in SLC and resource room.

Starting date is immediately. Eligibility requires ESSA-compliant education, First Aid/CPR/AED, CPI certification, and ability to work in a collaborative team. Screening begins Sept 22, 2026.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold an Associate degree or higher OR 72 credits or apprenticeship OR passing PESB assessments.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certification; CPI certification for certain positions and related trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel with presentation of learning materials and in delivery of instructional programs.
• Work with students with varied abilities and needs within SLC and 1:1 settings.
• Tutor individuals or small groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Monitor and assist in remediation of specific learning problems and follow student learning plans.
• Maintain confidential student records and contribute to a positive learning environment.
