Job summary

Evergreen Elementary in Mead, WA, seeks two paraeducators for 1:1 student support. Hours are 9:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday, 6 hours/day for the 2026–2027 school year. Under certificated staff, you will support instruction, health, safety, and daily living tasks to promote student independence and inclusion.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, current first aid/CPR, and meeting state paraeducator requirements. This continuing position offers training and a competitive wage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current first aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly.
• Paraeducator qualifications per state law.
• Two years of college coursework or an associate degree OR approved assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized support to assigned student(s) across classrooms and settings.
• Support participation in instruction and reinforce teacher-led lessons.
• Follow IEP/health/safety plans and procedures as directed by staff.
• Assist with transitions, communication, and daily living skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and monitor student safety at all times.
• Collaborate with teachers, nurses, and staff to support student needs.
