Job summary

Picnic Point Elementary in Edmonds, WA is seeking a 1:1 paraeducator for 3 hours per day (9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.), 180 days per year. The role supports a student with specialized needs under a teacher's supervision.

Start date is immediate; position does not include medical/dental benefits. Responsibilities include direct instructional support, supervision at various school settings, and assisting with IEP goals and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the following requirements: associate degree or 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits; apprenticeship; or PESB-approved assessments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students for safe, positive learning environment.
• Administer tests, collect and update student records; monitor progress.
• Assist with behavior management and support individual educational growth.
• Provide clerical and classroom assistance: data entry, copying, filing, materials prep.
• Provide first aid and medical assistance; physical support for students.
