Job summary

Mukilteo School District Explorer Middle School in Everett, WA seeks a 1:1 Paraeducator for 4.25 hours per day, 180 days per year, starting immediately. You will support a student with 1:1 assistance under a teacher's supervision, provide classroom help, and assist with safety and behavior management.

Minimum qualifications include WA state paraeducator certification or equivalent, and experience with children; preferred experience in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of basic math, spelling, reading, grammar, and punctuation.
• Desire and aptitude to work with students.
• Ability to interact positively and professionally with students, supervisors and staff.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of safe lifting and supporting students with disabilities as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily supervision to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Administer tests under teacher direction, collect data, update records and monitor progress.
• Support student behavior management and share observations with staff.
• Implement strategies to address diverse student needs and support educational growth.
• Provide clerical and classroom support (data entry, copying, filing, materials preparation).
• Administer first aid and medical assistance as needed and assist with personal care.
