Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 is seeking experienced tutors to deliver 50-minute one-on-one math or ELA lessons to students based in North America. The role offers a flexible schedule set by you and operates as an independent contractor with pay of $20 USD per class plus incentives.

Tutors will meet students at a set time each week, create engaging lessons, and maintain professional communication with parents. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of K-12 teaching experience, and reliable internet

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA or math.
• Experience with K-12 ELA or math standards.
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available between 3-10 PM EST Monday through Friday or during the weekends.
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability on a weekly basis.
• Access to a private and quiet location.
• Passion for helping students learn.
• Currently located in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
