Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 is an online learning platform that pairs K-12 students with tutors from top universities for personalized lessons. As a Cosmo 1:1 tutor, you will teach math or ELA to North American students using the Cosmo curriculum, meeting weekly for 50 minutes in a 1:1 format.

This independent contractor role offers a flexible schedule and a pay rate of $20 USD per class plus incentives. A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of teaching experience are required, with a minimum 20 hours of weekly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 3 years of experience teaching K-12 ELA or math.
• Experience with K-12 ELA or math standards required.
• Fast and reliable internet and a Windows or Mac PC with minimum CPU 6000.
• Minimum of 20 hours of weekly availability.
• Available 3-10 PM EST Mon-Fri or weekends.
• Must be located in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students professionally
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
